What we collect
We only collect what you choose to send us through our forms:
- Booking requests: your name, email address, phone number (optional), dates, pitch type, number of guests, whether you want a sauna session, and any notes you add.
- Contact messages: your name, email address, phone number (optional) and your message.
Like most websites, our hosting provider also keeps short-term technical logs, such as IP addresses and browser type, to keep the site secure and working.
Why we use it
- To reply to you, confirm your booking and arrange payment. The legal basis is taking steps to enter into a contract with you.
- To run the campsite and keep records we are required to keep by law, such as accounting records. The legal basis is legal obligation.
- To keep the website secure. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in protecting the site.
We do not use your details for marketing, and we never sell them.
Who we share it with
Your form details are stored on our website and sent to our email inbox. Our website is hosted by Hostinger, and our email provider handles our inbox. Both process the data only on our behalf. We do not share your details with anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep booking records for up to 6 years after your stay for accounting purposes. Messages and booking requests that do not lead to a stay are deleted within 12 months.
Cookies
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and our fonts are served from our own server. WordPress only sets cookies if you log in to manage the site.
Your rights
You can ask us to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, to limit how we use it, or to object to how we use it. Email info@greyside-holding-co-ltd.co.uk and we will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.
